Hi, I’m Mandy and doing hair is my love language! I started my “career” at the tender age of 3.  My first paying customers were my very accommodating family members.  They sat patiently while I sprayed their hair with “product” (aka water), brushed out the tangles (not very gently), and applied as many barrettes as their heads would hold.  I wanted to make them beautiful and it THRILLED me to hear them “ooohhhh” and “aaahhhh” when they looked in the mirror.  I get that same thrill when I work with my clients;  all of whom are a source of joy for me every day.   The truth is, doing hair is my calling.  It’s a calling I tried to ignore many years ago when I chose to go to Fort Hays State University to major in Leadership Studies.  While there I worked as a Resident’s Assistant in my dorm, and I quickly found myself doing everyone’s hair.  That’s when I realized that ignoring my calling wasn’t working out for me, so I left FHSU and got on the right path, the one I should’ve been on from the start, to be the best stylist possible.

That was back in 2008 and I’ve never looked back.
 

A few things about me! There’s probably nothing I haven’t tried to make in an air fryer;  my chocolate chip cookies are the star of our family gatherings; I grew up in a football family (Go Chiefs!!); and I am married and we are proud dog parents to Gus the Pug and Max and Eloise, two crazy French Bulldogs.  All 3 pups can be seen around Kansas City sporting the latest in canine fashion.

They bring a smile to my face every day.
