You have questions. We have answer
Our signature plump filler is $625 for up to one syringe.
Dr. Lauren will work with you to figure out the right amount for your desired look.
Worried about pain? We use a prescription-strength numbing cream that we will apply 10-15 minutes before you are injected, which will get you nice and numb before your treatment.
It takes about 15-30 minutes, with about 10-15 minutes of numbing before you are treated. We understand your time is valuable so we are quick and efficient!
Lip filler will naturally be metabolized and broken down by your body, and the length it lasts depends on just how quickly your body metabolizes the product. On average 1 syringe usually lasts up to 12 months.
Everyone is different- we have some patients who walk out of their Lip appointments with ready-to-go-fabulous-lips… and others who tend to bruise and swell. It really depends on your own individual physiology and body chemistry!
Most people swell a bit… generally, the morning after your injections is when you are going to be the most swollen. DON’T PANIC. This is normal and is actually supposed to happen! The fillers that we use in your lips are water-loving, which is what makes them so plump and perfect, so it’s totally normal for your lips to be more swollen in the morning (this is actually true with or without a Lip Plump. Look in the mirror tomorrow morning and notice your pout!)
Typically, you will be a little swollen for a 3-7 days after your injections. It will be something that you will notice, but other people won’t. 2 weeks after your injections you will really be able to see what your perfect pout looks like. People who are prone to bruising may notice bruising on or around the lips after injections. Stay hydrated and avoid Ibuprofen before your appointment.
Avoid taking any OTC blood thinners/supplements ONE week prior to treatment.
- Avoid the following: Aspirin, Motrin, Aleve, Advil, Celebrex or Ibuprofen. Including St. John's Wort, Gingko Biloba, primrose oil, garlic, ginsend, and Vitamin E.
- If you take a prescription blood thinner such as Coumadin, Plavix, or Eliquies, please check with your prescribing physician if you are able to discontinue for 7-10 days prior and 2 days post.
Do not consume alcohol 24 hours BEFORE your appointment.
- This can increase the risk for bruising and bleeding at your injection site(s).
If you have a history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on your face, inform your injector one-week prior to your appointment to allow a prescription medication (Valtrex) to be prescribed to avoid an outbreak.
Avoid dental procedures or cleanings 2 weeks pre/post filler.
Eat a small meal or snack prior to your appointment.
Come to your appointment with a clean face and NO makeup.
Apply clean or new Aquaphor or Vaseline to injection site.
If you've had lip filler, do not drink from a straw or any oral exercises for at least 3 days.
If you've had cheek filler, try to sleep on your back at night.
Apply Arnica OTC topically, or Alastin's Restorative Skin Complex, to reduce changes and/or severity of bruising. *3 days prior AND after.
Apply an ice pack to the injected area with a barrier between the skin to avoid burning of the skin.
Avoid touching, rubbing, itching, or picking around the injection site.
Avoid applying intense heat to the treated areas (hot tub, saunas, etc.)
Avoid strenuous exercise for atleast 24 hours (48hrs is preferred).
If you experience pain, you may take Tylenol.
If you experience itchiness and/or swelling, you may take OTC antihistamine like Zyrtec, Benadryl, or Claritin.
You need to contact the office immediately if the following symptoms occur:
- bruising that does not improve and continues to worsen or becomes black
- fever and/or chills
- blotches in regions not injected
- injected area appears red and hot to touch
Bruising, swelling, itching and nodulare feeling in the INJECTED areas are all normal post treatment of filler. We will book a two week follow-up appointment with you to see your progress.
